Aburi Eco Park – The Ideal City Escape

Aburi is famous for its mountainous views, and the newly built Aburi Eco Park, with its gorgeous 360 views, settled at an elevation of 400 meters ASL, is a fantastic city escape!

The resort is located near Aburi Amanfo, a farming community that prides itself as the first settlers of Aburi. The drive out here from Accra is approximately 1-hour.

The resort has a tranquil lush green environment, the sunset out here is stunning, and on a less foggy day, you can catch a glimpse of the Weija dam!

The park has officially started accepting bookings, and they will cater to large groups, campers, families, and individuals.

As always, here is the detailed info you will need before your visit.

Horse Riding

Nature Hikes – Hiking from the nearby communities to the park with a trained guide.

The Akwapem Waterfalls – Approximately 30 minutes drive from the resort on a quad bike and an hour hike. This waterfall is currently one of my favorite waterfalls in the country!

The walk from the entrance to the waterfalls is made of easy steps and not tedious at all. The source of the falls is from the Nsakye River flowing from the nearby communities.

Akwapem Waterfalls also known as Obuordaka

Horse Riding – Available on weekends only at a small fee.

RESTAURANT AND BAR

The restaurant on-site is fitted with glass exteriors that allow you to enjoy your meal with a view!

When ready, the restaurant will cook predominantly local dishes with fresh harvest sourced directly from the resort’s farms nearby, accompanied by a well-stocked bar.

The facility is also available for private events at a price. The grounds are perfect for a countryside wedding!

SECURITY

They are security personnel on-site 24/7 and CCTV cameras all around the property.

Internet access is fairly stable on all networks. Wifi is, however, available at the facility.
