STAYING AT UMVA

The Pod where I stayed has floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, a balcony, and a shower with a breathtaking lake view 😍
The bungalow has a bedroom, a balcony, and a living room (with a king-sized sofa bed). It is spaciously designed for honeymooners, a family, or a group of 4 adults.
The birdhouse which is my favorite of all is a loft-styled tiny house with a lake view, perfect for a solo traveler looking for a unique stay!
The lodge has a total of 9 rooms and they can house up to 16 guests. Every accommodation at UMVA is ensuite and has a startling lake view.
There’s an in-house massage, a boutique, a restaurant, a bar, a studio, kayaks, a lounge, WiFi across the lodge, and a fire pit also overlooking the lake.
Dining At UMVA
UMVA has a communal 6-course dining concept here which I loved. Perfect for a solo traveler looking to make friends ☺️
Every communal dinner during my stay at the lodge was a warm, fun night with great meals, themed music, and great all-around conversations with the other guests I met.
We all ended up having breakfasts, game nights, and kayak sessions together. Certainly the highlight of my trip ❤️

UMVA Muhazi is an excellent destination whether you’re looking for a getaway from Kigali City, it’s the perfect lodge to work remotely and a great place to stay when traveling to or from Akagera National Park in Rwanda.
They are just an hour and a half drive from Kigali City, and they offer airport pick-up and drop-offs.
