Morocco just made it easier for Ghanaian passport holders to visit so I finally made the trip.

Before we get to the fun, here are some tips about getting your travel authorization.
Travel Authorization
📝 The Application
The form is short and easy to fill out. You don’t need to book your flight or hotel first, but you do need to enter an address for your accommodation. Make sure your documents match the exact file size limit requested.
They ask for a list of your past international trips. Fill it out, it seems important to immigration.
✈️ Flights
I flew with Royal Air Maroc, paid $1,300 approximately for the ticket which was crazy expensive for a 4-hour flight.
The alternative is to fly with Turkish Airlines and transit in Istanbul for longer hours. This can save you $400 – $600 of the cost depending on the day.
⏱️ How Long It Took
I applied on their Online Portal and got my approval within 24 hours but I will suggest you apply for your authorization days ahead of your trip.

More Resources;
Morocco is home to an abundance of luxury riads and high-end hotels across all major cities.
Whether you’re staying in Marrakesh, Fez, or by the coast, finding top-tier accommodation is easy through popular booking platforms like Booking.com, Expedia, or Airbnb.
Marrakesh can be overwhelming but it is a stunning city. You have to pre-book & wait in line to get into some of the famous activities and attractions which was a first for me.
The city is particularly gorgeous at night and it has so many good restaurants to dine at. The day trips outside the city are gems. The Agafey desert dining experience overlooking the Atlas Mountains was easily the highlight of my trip ❤️
Chefchaouen the iconic Blue City is about a 4-hour drive from Fez along winding mountain roads.
There are no trains or flights to get there, so your best bet is to book a private driver for a smoother trip.
If you’re considering public bus transportation, plan to stay overnight as it’s a long journey but worth taking your time to explore.
