Mauritius is expensive but 100% worth it. Immigration can be messy. Taxis are expensive, but it is very touristy so the food is decent.

Zanzibar has lots to do on a budget and is easy to get around. The food isn’t the best but the abundance of fresh fruits makes up for it.

Personal Notes:
Great coffee & chocolates, limited food options, and lots of fresh fruits. The island has little to no nightlife but it is excellent for a relaxing escape.
